Buyer's review: 5 out of 5 stars - Power gel
I could not get through a long run without it, instant energy, I use the vanilla. and I love it

Buyer's review: 5 out of 5 stars - Green Apple PowerBar Gel is the Best!
Green Apple PowerBar Gel is my new favorite flavor of energy gel. I typically prefer GU brand over PowerBar for taste, but PowerBar Green Apple is the best!

Buyer's review: 5 out of 5 stars - Positive Review
The delivery of our order was very timely. We would order from them again.

Buyer's review: 5 out of 5 stars - Raspberry Cream is the best
I can't stomach the other flavors, except vanilla -- or the plain flavor if you move to the 4x sodium stuff. The taste and texture of the Powerbar gels is the best I've found, and I've sampled pretty much everything on the market. The energy provided is more of a complex carb than a simple one so it doesn't give you much of a sugar buzz like some other products, which is good, cause it keeps me going on the long rides.

Buyer's review: 2 out of 5 stars - Caffeine Supplementation is Not a Good Weight Loss Plan
Caffeine has an energizing effect on the central nervous system, as it is a stimulant. A typical cup of coffee has about 100 mg of caffeine. Caffeine is used in several supplements, those being weight loss products, exercise stimulants, and "stay alert" products, such as Vivarin.

In doses of 100-200 mg, caffeine can increase alertness, relieve drowsiness and improve thinking. The average person in the US consumes about 200 mg of caffeine per day through coffee drinking.

Like any "drug", caffeine is not without its adverse effects. At doses of 250-700 mg/day, caffeine can cause anxiety, insomnia, nervousness, hypertension, and insomnia. Over 1000 mg/d can cause tachycardia, palpitations, insomnia, tinnitus, and cognitive difficulties. More than 10 grams of caffeine is lethal.

Caffeine is commonly used by professional athletes to increase alertness and reaction time. This is not to say it is a "safe" drug to use, but in small doses, (100-200 mg) it is probably not going to cause harm in healthy individuals. Daily use to help one exercise harder is probably not a good idea. Why unnecesarily stimulate the body just to exercise harder? Exercise in itself is a stimulant. Avoid caffeine for an exercise boost - you don't need it.
